Abandoned Places in Berlin 2017

This year we took our “Abandoned Places” trip to the next level, we went to Berlin together with the inspirational sisters Mira and Thilda Berglind (also known as @weare365). For four days we went to different locations and we had lectures in photography and basic retouching every day.

Our model for this trip, Aava from Stockholmsgruppen Models. All hair and makeup by Galina Nurmi and styling by Martina Axtelius.

Our first location was this abandoned school.

That night we had the most amazing dinner at a Moroccan restaurant in Berlin.

Look at this car! Love it!

Just outside of Berlin lies these ruins of the US radar center used during the Cold War. An obvious photo stop on this tour.

Every one got the chance to photograph Aava and all the graffiti in this huge place.

And after a long day of shooting we played some table tennis, there were only a couple of rackets but we used our imagination and played with books, hands and small bags.

Well deserved pizza!

The third day we went to this abandoned sanatorium with over 20 different buildings to explore. We photograph Aava in two places here before leaving  for an abandoned castle at a mirrored lake nearby where we photographed in the sunset.

There were so many rooms, and all of them unique and so beautiful. This place was a favorite for many of us!

Thilda in one of the rooms.

And from nowhere (literally, we were in the middle of the woods) came this ice cream truck. Perfect!!

From one of the biggest buildings in the abandoned sanatorium, the light was so good!

That night we went to one of Mira’s and Thildas favorite bars in Berlin. Amanda and Aava played som chess.

Our last stop on the trip, this abandoned factory with an (almost) never ending ceiling and light coming in from everywhere. Here’s Magnus, taking pictures of Aava.

Thilda, Mira and Aava in the factory.

And we ended the tour in the best way, with this stunning group picture. We miss everyone!!
